PS/2

Works on IBM PS/2 or PS/1 computers. Also works on compatibles with a "PS/2-style keyboard" or IBM laptops with a "PS/2-style keyboard port".

XT and AT


XT and AT keyboards look exactly the same!

You determine the type of processor that your computer uses to determine whether you would use an IntelliKeys AT or XT cable, if the PS/2 size is not right.

AT
286, 80286, AT, 386, 386sx, 80386, 80386sx, 486, 486sx (unless these have a PS/2-style keyboard - always check size/shape first!)

XT
8086, 8088, V20, XT, Turbo-XT

XT vs. AT, final test
XT computers were generally not sold after 1985. XT computer keyboards do not have light indicators. XT computers would not run Windows 3.1x nor Windows95.

Laptops
If a PC-compatible laptop has a port for an external keyboard (101-key keyboard), it will use either the PS/2 or AT cables described above. Choose the correct size that fits the laptop’s external keyboard port.

Most Apple PowerBooks have an ADB port. They work great with IntelliKeys.

Macintosh
IntelliKeys works with all Macintosh computers that have an ADB port.
