Type & Talk's comprehensive thesaurus provides you with
the option to use alternative words. A choice of meanings is given
with descriptions and a sample sentence. These can be spoken and
automatically placed into your document.
To find the
meaning of a particular word in
textHELP!®
Type & Talk, simply click on the word and then click
the thesaurus button. This will bring up the thesaurus panel.
The thesaurus
panel will display the word at the top and will enable you to choose
which sense the word is to be used. Synonyms will be displayed. To see
the meaning of any of these groups, double click on the group.
This will
display the meaning and possibly a sample sentence in the text area at
the bottom and show you the individual synonyms in the group, in the
synonym list.
You can have any
of the text within this panel spoken, by double clicking on the text
and clicking the speak button. To replace the original word with any
of the synonyms select the appropriate word and click the replace
button.
